During our recent trip to Las Vegas we were invited to step away from the Strip and delve into a different kind of culinary experience: Wild Fig BBQ in Summerlin. We eagerly accepted the invitation to sample their renowned BBQ combo platters. Little did we know, this unassuming spot would deliver a smoky, flavorful punch that far exceeded our expectations.
Arriving at Wild Fig BBQ, we were met with a line stretching out the door. It quickly became apparent that this was a popular local spot, primarily a takeaway with a few outdoor benches. Many customers had pre-ordered for collection so the queue moved very quickly.
Once inside we were greeted by staff and offered a refreshing cantaloupe juice. Behind the counter, Daniel, one of the owners was preparing the orders. He talked us through the concept and generously offered us samples of the meats he was preparing, and let me tell you, our taste buds went wild! The brisket was an absolute revelation, and every cut of meat that we tried was incredible.

We decided to go for one of their combo plates, they have a few different ones but the largest is $36 and includes three meats, two sides and dips, perfect for the 4 of us to share. There was a large selection of meat to choose from and the choice was made even more difficult after sampling some amazing ones. For our meat selections, we chose brisket, pulled pork, and pork spare ribs. For sides, we opted for mac n' cheese and steak fries, it was accompanies by a selection of sauces and they also added some delicious poblano cheddar corn muffins and cookies for desert. We settled onto the outdoor benches and devoured the feast, the meats were tender, smoky, and perfectly cooked, and the sides were equally divine.
