The Sea Sprite Hotel is a charming beachfront property located in the heart of Hermosa Beach, a vibrant beach town between Manhattan Beach and Redondo Beach in Los Angeles' South Bay, California. We were recently invited to stay in their Premier Partial Ocean View Balcony Suite for three nights, and we were thoroughly impressed with our experience.
The Hotel
The Sea Sprite Hotel is located directly on The Strand and was originally apartments before being converted into the first hotel in Hermosa Beach. In 2020 the Sea Sprite Hotel's extensive renovations were completed. It was redesigned with the hotel's original layout and historic status in mind but now boasts 34 upscale boutique rooms and suites with each offering coastal inspired, modern luxury. It was also awarded the first ever Beautification Award by the Mayor of Hermosa Beach.

The Location
The Sea Sprite Hotel sits steps away from the iconic Hermosa Beach Pier, on The Strand, which is a 22-mile paved biking and walking path that runs along the oceanfront. LAX Airport is just five miles away taking around 30 minutes in a car. It offers the perfect blend of beachfront tranquility, easy access to local attractions, and proximity to the vibrant heart of Hermosa Beach, as it's located within a short walk of Pier Plaza and Hermosa Avenue and its huge range of shops, restaurants and nightlife options.
The Suite
We entered the room into a spacious bedroom which had 2 large queen beds fitted with luxurious bedding and offered a very comfortable nights sleep. There was a built in wardrobe with a safe supplied at no additional cost and a large dresser with a 57" TV above it. On the other side of the room there was a spacious en suite with a large vanity and a tub/shower combination, a hairdryer and toiletries were also supplied. Between the beds was a large opening into a 2nd room, this was a separate living room with a kitchenette, large dining table and a queen sized sofa bed. The kitchenette had a minibar, coffee maker, sink and microwave, the only thing missing for me here would have been some dishes and cutlery. From the living room was a private balcony which offered breathtaking glimpses of the Pacific Ocean. The suite itself was tastefully decorated with a modern coastal theme, featuring comfortable furnishings, and tasteful artwork.

The Service
The staff at the Sea Sprite Hotel were very friendly and attentive. From the moment we checked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and offered helpful advice on local attractions and dining options. We were advised that there was a box in the lobby where you could find items that you may need for the beach such as buckets and spades, which was very handy. The service throughout our stay was impeccable, with the staff going above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction.

Overall
Our three-night stay at the Sea Sprite Hotel was an absolute delight. The combination of the stunning ocean views, the comfortable and stylish accommodations, and the exceptional service made for an unforgettable experience. The hotel is a great choice for anyone looking for a relaxing and luxurious getaway in Hermosa Beach and we would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Los Angeles.
