What if you've already booked your flight?
Don't worry, there's still a way to potentially save some money, even if you've already booked your flight. It's worth checking the prices for other dates and if you find a cheaper flight, you can contact British Airways to amend your booking.
They do charge an amendment fee of £150, but if you can save more than £150 by changing your booking then it may be worth while. We recently extended a trip that we booked and chose to fly to a different airport so that we can experience 2 cities and we saves over £500 off our original booking (even after the amendment fee) and bagged an extra 4 nights.
If you decide to change your booking, here's what you need to do:
- Contact British Airways: Call their customer service number or visit their website to initiate the booking change process.
- Discuss what you would like to change: The British Airways customer service agents have been extremely helpful, talk them through what you're looking for and they'll give you the best price.
- Pay the amendment fee: British Airways will charge you the £150 amendment fee when you confirm any changes.
Remember, this is just a suggestion. Ultimately, the decision of whether or not to change your booking is up to you.
