The Ultimate Sunday Lunch: Vandal, Warrington, Cheshire

Sunday lunch just got a serious upgrade, we found the perfect spot right here in Warrington, Cheshire!  We ventured to Vandal Bar and Restaurant, located in the Treasury Building next to the Parr Hall, and let me tell you, it was a Sunday feast fit for kings (and queens!).

We were greeted by the welcoming host who showed us to our table, took our drinks order and explained more about the food.  From the moment we stepped inside, we were charmed by the decor – a cool, contemporary vibe, with lots of fun artwork, that still managed to feel incredibly cosy, it sure is one of Warrington's trendiest dining spots.  The atmosphere was buzzing with families enjoying a relaxed Sunday, and the addition of board games was a brilliant touch, perfect for keeping everyone entertained.

But let's talk about the main event: the Sunday roast.  Vandal has taken the traditional Sunday dinner and turned it into a sharing experience, served on a beautiful wooden board.  We were a party of four, so we decided to try one of each option: the slow roast beef and the roast chicken.

Prepare yourselves, because this is where things got truly delicious.  The slow roast beef was a revelation.  Cooked for days, it was melt-in-your-mouth tender, practically falling apart with just a gentle touch.  The flavours were deep and rich, a testament to the time and care put into its preparation.  The roast chicken was equally impressive, cooked to perfection with juicy, succulent meat.

The accompaniments were equally outstanding.  A selection of roasted vegetables, perfectly crisp roast potatoes, and a truly incredible cauliflower & broccoli cheese were all piled high on the board.  And of course, no Sunday roast is complete without Yorkshire puddings and gravy, which were both exceptional.

The sharing board concept was brilliant, encouraging us to dig in and enjoy the meal together, even the boys couldn't stop devouring the food.  It was a perfect relaxed sunday afternoon, and the quality of the food was simply outstanding.

If you're looking for a Sunday lunch that's a cut above the rest, head to Vandal in Warrington (make sure you book ahead.)  With its great decor, cosy atmosphere, family-friendly vibe, and incredible sharing boards, it's the perfect place to spend a relaxing Sunday afternoon.  They also have some other incredible offers on for brunch and lunch, check out their website for more information.  We can't wait to go back for more!
